ALBQ NM at the TA, I'm not idling. When I go to bed I'll shut down my laptop and inverter. Only the fridge will run. I'll still start OK in the mornin.

I didn't idle last night either, was 48 when I went to bed, 35 when I got up.

I just put on my stocking hat and pull up the covers. Sleep like a baby down to about 30 degrees. Lower if I wanted to add more blankets. I've slept without heat down to about 20. THATS #### cold, and very brutal getting up in the morning.

That's when you don't want to get out of bed! hell no I wouldn't do 20.

It was in the high thirties when I brought the pete home and with the wiring issues I dared not idle it while I slept. that was a bit chilly with no blanket

You need to pick a date and stick to it. You also need a thread or some location where you can provide a space where people can sign up so that your not the only joe out there.:biggrin_2552:

    Yup.

I remember a few years back when my wife's dad was still living in Montana outside of Whitefish.

It was a nice late spring day the temps were nice so he thought he'd go into town to pick up some tomato plants for his garden. Well he made a little detour, you know the bar...heh.

He got home after dark and figured since the plants were under his camper shell they would be ok. He got up the next morning and surprise, all the tomato plants had frost damage.

I was telling a friend of mine today we will know the price of fuel is too high when drivers think spending $20 for a sleeping bag is cheaper than idling all the time.
