Guards. Metal detectors. Bullet-proof glass. Separate area for drivers. Card readers on the doors.....That says heaps about how the insiders view the drivers at CRE.

Now all they need to add is a dispatch area with a razor-wire fence around it. Maybe even electrify it with 5,000 volts. They'd still have people lined up ready to go to work for 'em.

 

I think Grandma is gonna be in for a hell of a surprise. At first I just thought she had a very positive attitude, but now I think she's completely oblivious to the reality of trucking, especially with this company.

Now I may be wrong, but the impression I get is that she's just all "la la la" with fluttery eyes over this virgil fella, completely ignoring the warning signs while being encouraged by people who tell her how great of an attitude she has, then all of a sudden BAM!!! That's when the poo will hit the fan.

I do wish you well Grandma, but I still say run away. I would feel like I've committed career homicide towards you by trying to push you along with encouragement at CRE, or as Tipster says "See Our England Ad."

Why do people insist that they will be treated differently than the hundreds of horror stories?

Granny hasn't been doing it long enough yet to have an opinion, really. She's still in the honeymoon phase and is still wearing rosy glasses.

I, too, hope it works out for her. And it #### well could. But we all know what the odds are of that happening at C. Our. England Advert. Reality sucks sometimes, for sure.

How much are you paying for fuel?

Do you make a profit or are you slave drivers for them?

Was the truck brand new or used?

If it was used, what condition was it in and please give us the spec's.
