Oh yeah! After last year getting stuck on ice sitting on a hill for hours, snow storm in St Louis, Michigan white out and several other snow related slow ups, load cancellations and profit losses because couldn't make pick up etc.. I figure it's in my best interest to stay out of the stuff if possible. Not going be easy because it looks like we are in for a cold winter. But my plan is to do the best I can monitoring weather reports and route myself around it whenever possible.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas!

Call me crazy, just when I was saying how much I'm trying stay south I picked a load to North Dakota :biggrin_2551: (-17 degrees out here, geeshhh) Of course I show up to deliver and no one is there (suppose to be live unload) SNI told me to just drop it there. So I did and moved on.

Have to be honest my planning of loads recently has just really sucked! Couple weeks ago I got a zero pay check because my last load for the week was delayed mainly due to the rain storm I didn't want to keep driving in through TN. Dark out, heavy heavy rain and I was MT. Just wasn't going well with me so I stopped.

Then I hit another rain storm in Texas this week and the burned up my hours to where I couldn't deliver the North Dakota load on time. :biggrin_25521: Oh my GOD! Now another week where the last load of the week didn't get on my payroll. At least this time I will get a check, but dang itt! Was looking forward to a lot more. Not complaining here just explaining!

Ok so hopefully this coming week, next Friday after the New Year should be a whopper! I'll have the Dakota load it pays over $1900. and then I grabbed an awesome load going back to Cali that pays out over $4200. Should be able to get this in before this weeks end! Certainly can't complain about that. Also will have a chance to see my wife and then planning on going out a few more weeks and then take a mini vacation in January. Will see. Just keeping the wheels turning!

Hope all you Road Warriors and Road Warriors to be have an awesome holiday!

Freight is good in the northeast, but you gotta be willing to deal with the bs too.

Sounds like some our weeks, been running the northeast lately with lots of snow and ice, our APU cropped out on Christmas eve, and I haven't got the idle shutoff fixed yet, so it had to keep getting up to start the truck and charge the batteries. Sitting at the thermoking shop now waiting to get it fixed.
