I am not a recruiter for Superior but they do have a really good pay package for a company driver. I forgot about this but they do offer tuition reimbursement after you complete 2 years with them. Their 401k is matched up to 6% I believe. We get raises based on how well the company is doing. Unfortunately they do not really acknowledge driver performance with any kind of reward which is a shame in my opinion. You might get a watch or something after 5 years of safe driving but you won't get a $10,000 bonus. But I can say I have been treated very well and not like a dog like some of these other companies do their drivers.

As far as base pay, we all start the same whether your a new driver or veteran. That may not set well with older drivers but it is what it is. And after doing this only a short time and getting a taste of trucking, there is no way I would start out driving at .32cpm. There is more to this job than holding a wheel and it is a shame some of these companies pay what they pay.

Yes, of course they do. If I remember correctly the local training pay is hourly. OTR is $100 per day. You will be out 5-7 days at a time so $500-700 per week OTR training pay.

If I ever decided to haul fuel it would be for Loves or Pilot. I think trying to deliver gas to some of the local places might be a headache trying to get in and out of them unless you did it at night.

Ped, a guy on this forum referred me to Superior. I was able to meet up with him one day when he was close by and he gave me all the information about them and told me how much he was making as a company driver. I was impressed with what I heard so I applied and was able to get hired on. I never considered tankers until he contacted me and told me they hire out of tech schools.

    ped Thanks this.

We are both OTR. Ped just got his own truck not too long ago and signed it on with Superior. He is doing well as an o/o for Superior.
As far as local work is concerned, the Morrow terminal only has a couple of guys that do that. Every now and then me or one of the other drivers will be used for local work if we are around and they need help with it. I don't mind. It helps break up the monotony.
