Yes they're in house. They attend a state run examiners school. They get spot checked by MO DOT officers all the time. With the frequency I've seen them, I'd say it's more than a weekly basis.

Its kinda funny watching your your student get tested by our Examiners, meanwhile the Examiner is being evaluated by the officer.

as I understand it the officer compares their score with the examiners score.

As instructors our cabs and bunk areas should be clean and presentable, but we are constantly reminded that a DOT officer can show up at anytime for evals, and the bottom bunk area is where the officer will sitting and observing on the road course.

I like to do a field day at least once a week, and do a tidying up before the examinations.

Hello again JB, I found out this week that grants are available to me here in Las Vegas, Nevada (as opposed to Las Vegas, New Mexico...lol) to pay for my CDL school. this saves me putting things off for another 4 months and waiting for Primes in house program (I do understand the pay and time difference coming in with a CDL w/ no experience) I am probably gonna go with Southwest Trucking School as the recruiter there is a great guy, and ex military like myself, but I may go with AGS Consultants (CDL school) as they have one-on-one driver/instructor training there, rather than a cab full of students. Anyway, it is your thread that turned me on to Prime, which I would have never considered otherwise, and I cannot find any company that matches up in my opinion, so before I turn in my application, I thought I'd ask if you get referral credit as I would be more than happy to list you (message me the needed info, as I probably have no PM credit yet). Thank you again for all your advice and sharing of your Prime journey.

Thanks JB, I have to do three more posts to be able to PM (and reply). I'll be sure to list you, and if I am fortunate enough to be selected by Prime I will let you know. Doc
