2007 T800
Added more factory gauges in my truck, now looking for the "stingers", (aka wire lead) part #s
Now need:
(1) For the fuel filter vacuum/pressure monitor- needing the two wire short harness (2-3' long?), one end plugs into the sending unit on the primary ff housing, other end plugs into a plug in the main bundle of wire harness up around the windshield wash bottle .
(2) The stinger that attaches to transmission temperature send unit.
(3) The stinger that attaches to each of the two final drive (aka rear end) temp send units. Both prolly use the same part #.
One KW dealer approx 58 mi east of me, one approx 52 mi west, have been told several times by both parts departments; "have to look it up, give me your #, I'll get back to you". Almost a year later + repeated requests to different parts guys, quit waiting for those calls. Can't use my Vin # cause my truck never had those parts.
Hauling local now, no salvage yards nearby, so maybe if someone could find a legible part # printed on the small white tag attached to the wires....Yeah, I got high hopes. Maybe if I could call KW with the part #s, being half their job has been done, I might get lucky.
Still got those high hopes; lol.
Thanks in advance!
Hoping to get part #s

Thing to do is find a wiring schematic that has those parts on it, Then you would have them, I'm sure there is someplace on the internet that those items can be found. I wish you luck.

KW goes by the last 6 digits of your vin number. If that doesn't work, get the serial number off your engine and see if they can match the parts. KW used to have a disk you could order that had most of their parts listed. You may try going to their website and asking them. Engines can be changed along with other parts. I had to replace a fan recently. I had it changed several years ago and the current fan is different than the one I had originally. I was able to match it with the old part from my truck. If you can take the part off the truck and run it by a KW dealer, they might be able to match it if you can't find a part number or they can't match the part to your vin number.

Find a KW with those gauges that you have added. Then use the vin off it for your info. You could try a salvage yard.

I was under the impression that the new style dash, like in an 06 newer, the gauges are there more for looks than function. I have an 07 and my oil temp gauge typically goes over 300 degrees, but with my BD plugged into the ECM port, reading what the ECM sees, oil temp runs normal, never gets anywhere close to that. There is no sending unit on the motor for the gauge.
From my understanding, these gauges get their readings from a computer that just makes calculations. I have some gauges that I would like to add to mine also, but might end up going to the after market for them.
Giving a dealer his VIN accomplishes nothing if his truck never had the gauges to begin with, there is nothing in the computer for the parts pusher to see if it was never built with it.
Best thing to do is hit up truck paper and start looking at trucks, find one with the gauges/wires that you want and give your dealer the VIN off of that truck.droy Thanks this. -
I did try using the VIN # of the W9 that I got the dash out of; the parts fellow @ Performance Truck in Beaumont either could not find the stingers, or maybe they simply were not listed. This was one of the several times I was told they would research, & get back to me. One of the fellows who actually made an effort while I was there suggested looking on the actual wire harness for the little tag with part #.
Also could not get the stingers off the W9 that I had robbed dash; FF harness was damaged, trans temp had been cut instead of unplugging during trans removal, bogies had been sold as a frame cutoff.
