That is pretty awesome! How is he enjoying the company, so far? I, literally, just went on their website, and typed in my zip code; it read that my zip code was out of their hiring area!! I have a feeling that I'm gunna run into this problem quite often, when applying for jobs. :biggrin_25516: If it's any assistance to you, I reside in NY....more towards the border between NY and PA. So, downstate NY. About 20 miles away, is the PA border.

I don't NY. I would rather go Midwest and haul meat or livestock.

Yes. I am more than willing to work at a company, that is across the US. It just appears that there are hiring areas for companies, and I'm not in Boyd Bros. Hopefully, this is not a regular occurrence.

We we have a guy bout your size just put that load bar in the winch and jump down on it always go for that extra click. So you'll be fine. I'm not on a dedicated run, I just mostly go down there on Mondays sometimes I go north or else where. I work for a small company only 3 of us OTR. I would go to TMC if I was green. I never have worked for someone with more than 30 trucks and at the time they had 5.

Big cities always more traffics and poor maintained roads. When cross country or mountains, more comfortable with less cars on roads. The only fun I always see deer to pop out and hit it with moose guard.

Oh, I gotcha, now. Thanks for the clarification, TwinStickPeterbilt! After a few years of getting my feet wet doing different types of hauling, I wish to move to a much smaller company (likewise to the one you work at), or become an O/O; however, the O/O part wouldn't be for quite sometime. How many years have you been flatbedding for? What are the pros and cons of flatbedding?

Ha ha, russtrucker, funny! I've heard some things about them moose, out west :yes2557:. I agree, and what you're saying makes total sense. I would prefer not to drive in cities, if possible. Even, now, I absolutely despise it. What kinda trucking do you do??
