Just got a change of plan. My produce load that I was to pick up in Colton cancelled so now I have to drop this load at the yard, pick up a loaded trailer and deliver in Sacramento in the morning.

Change of plans yet again. Drop my load at Colton, pick up an empty reefer, drop and hook at W/M produce center with another produce load going to gordonsville. At this rate I'm going to be exhausted just from all the trip planning I'm doing.

Big change of plans, after sitting and waiting at Walmart produce center, the little merry mexican man in the golf cart came over at 2am, knocked on my door and in the same breath told me my load cancelled, and that I had to leave the property. I have soooo many things to say about what is bad with this industry, but to spare everyone an off the chain rant I'll just let it go. Right now I'm sitting at our Colton dust bowl yard wondering if I'm ever going to take a shower in my life again.

Could be worse , could be up here in CANADA with me @ -40 with FROST BITE WARNINGS and the customer not able to find the trailer I had left here last week . Latest is word from dock manager is " I think that other BLUE TRUCK took it yesterday"

Finally got a load. Had to drop the empty reefer I had and grab a dry van. Went up to Adelanto just north of Victorville on 395 to pick up a load going back to Richmond. It delivers next week, we'll be in around 3pm Saturday to drop and hook and head back west. Right now we just got showers in Barstow and are heading out. I'm driving until Milan NM then George takes over. Be safe all, God Bless.
The Challenger, FLATBED and Lonesome Thank this. -
Picking up at RR Donnelly in Spartanburg SC and delivering in Richmond tomorrow. It's 2 stops and I tried to have a local guy deliver, but Walter said since everyone is coming back from home time, freight out of there is scarce. So, delivering this tomorrow, hopefully! I'm fixing to run out of hours right here. I hate it when you get to a shipper and sit for hours and hours and hours and hours.
Hope everyone had a safe and merry holiday. Now lets all get back to work! LOL -
It sure is a nice change of pace having a load on that isn't time sensitive. My biggest concern with this load is making sure I get to the richmond yard tomorrow so I can get this load completed for the end of the pay period, which is midnight tomorrow. We should be in around 2pm tomorrow. I drove until 2am then George took over. Right now we are just coming into Amarillo, we'll get fuel then carry on. I'll take back over just east of OKC.
