One more difference - European use mertic threads, US trucks is a mix of fractional and metric fasteners, and sometimes someone use metric nut on fractional thread bolt... easy to fit it with impact wrench, newer self losing) LOL)))))

    Schwinder and Exiled Thank this.

I installed european leveling valve on my truck last year. I changed three fittings with metric.

Ok, some ABS valves on US trucks are with metric threads (M16x1.5) so IMO, globalisation goes on!

And airbag & plastic peaces can be easily fail, spacemainly waisted between seats, smaller sleeper always get better resale value due to that

It will take more time for US atleast another 10yrs or more to regularise metric system as more and more Euro technolgies & company mergers happening in US. Mind set and superiority complex are some blocks or barriers. eg- the deutsch electrical wiring connectors are now available in US even with traditional parts of US trucks. It takes time for the complexed mind set to change and accept good things.

Deutch - is the US connector company. In Eu they prefere AMP. But many sealed connectors on EU trucks are made by Deutch, and may AMP connectors are in US trucks now, for axample of all Wabco, Temic and Bosch ECMs
