Judging from your photo Joe,mind if I call you Joe?You don't look like you need to lose weght. But I do know this truck stop garbage is bad.I don't care if you're a trk driver or not,too much junk can't be good for you. Many trk drivers are healthy because they eat right and exercise.Problem with unfit drivers is too much time on their hands.I've been giving Ray a hard time in a joking sort of way because hes put on too much weight, all empty calories.Just because you drive trk for a living doesn't mean its an unhealthy life style.Because its not.If you eat and don't know when to stop not to mention all the empty callories you consume, you better plan on that catching up with you.Im glad you're changing your life around Joe and hope once you reach your goal you remain eating healthy.
I will not die early!

I was in the same boat. I'm 36 5'6" and was 270lb after 5yrs long haul. I'm a stocky guy from what my friends say. After 5 years of saying I'm gonna get in shape and it not happening I finally put my foot down. Even though I love Otr. I said screw it I don't want to be heavy and jumped into foodservice highly motivated and wanting to do it. Got a job with US Foods, I had a 3 month dot card when I got hired cause of bp. So let's just say in a nick of time. After 3 months I dropped down to 238lb eating slightly healthy and also hitting the gym after work, bringing workout cloths so I don't go home and get the couch affect. Loved the Job even though it was physical and I knew it was helping me. After a year lost the job due to me being a idiot. Then I jumped into LTL linehaul I was 235lb. Very hard to lose weight on line but I started packing food for my lay over and before work hitting the gym 3-5 days a week. I'm at my lowest in 13yrs since the Marines at196lbs doing a non physical job and making a good living. Been doing linehaul for almost 2yrs. It took 3yrs of up and downs and I'm still working on getting to 170lb USMC weight. I feel a lot better. I'm not going back Otr unless they make gyms on the road. It's very hard to do it on the road but I'm not saying you can't cause people have. Your doing the first step to getting healthy. It just didn't work out for me. But like others said might want to try taking it off for a year or two local if it doesn't improve. Foodservice and LTL P&D will drop weight. I've seen P&D guys come in heavy and 6 months later lost weight. I needed good money for my bills so foodservice was perfect and now linehaul with a little discipline. Good luck with it either way but it takes time so don't get discouraged.

Gonna drop 30 pounds, quit smoking and drop that other 200 pounds of dead weight I have. I swear to Christ that lazy ##### is most of my health issues.

I got divorced 10 years ago, and not one day goes by without me thinking I've won the lottery to be single. I just like being on my own.
Good luck.joseph1135 Thanks this. -
