Oh it is so funny i read the original posters story twice! ......................... LOL
I went to a CTL (CCC) Orientation with 11 drivers and by 1100 on the first day 4 were gone due to the "Strength and Agility" Test.
Two were in their late 20's/early 30's; Two were late 40's/early 50's.I was the oldest at 63 and passed.
I saw them smoking heavily on breaks so I'm guessing it got to them (I don't smoke).
I ended up not going because I signed up for OTR as much as possible; I got assigned to bulk cement loading and unloading 10 of 14 hours on short trips and driving the other 4 for a percentage.
They don't pay for loading and unloading so I had them take me off the new hire list.
I'm guessing more and more companies are getting tighter on "Work Well" tests of some sort so we might as well get in shape and stay there, but gonna be hard to do that and stay OTR.

wow man that was hilarious!!! my trainer had not body odor, nor was he excessively obese. He was a psychopathic maniac, who tried for three days to freak me out with stories on how crazy he was. I was raised around deep woods rednecks and warlocks so no scaring me man ive heard it all... but anyways we were 30 miles from Laredo, TX.. and he cuts the radio off so i start singing country to annoy him.... He yells out #### before i kill u!!!! so i pulled over and beat him senseless... he calls the cops and guess who went to jail??? he did!!! so werner fired me, until my attorney called treatening a massive lawsuit for firing me for following Texas State law, they settled and gave me my job back. i start the second lets see how this goes...

why did you not call and get a different trainer.. and sorry, but it was childish and immature to siong just to annoy your trainer.. the smart and mature thing would of been to get another trainer..
And as for pulling off on the side of the road to beat the crap out of someone.. rediculous and unsafe.. for you and others on the road.. too bad you got your job back.. but since you did I hope you get better training and learn better coping skills than what you bragged about here... I also hope you grow up and become more mature... a child should be behind the wheel..
Don't imagine you will like what I said.. but, why not give being an adult a try and look back and learn and realize what you could of and should of done differently... -
OMG, I lmfao, but i could relate to the OP! Very descriptive & enjoyed it throughly! The 2-3 weeks I went through training, were the longest ever on the road. PTL stuck me in the truck with a white guy who hated white ppl!! He thought he was this (55yr old) gangsta from Cleveland. NEVER AGAIN will I ride with a complete stranger for more than a couple hours!
Drac1985 and Truckergirl0720 Thank this. -

I first read this post years ago. there's a reason laterdude got 355 thanks on this one. probably the funniest thing i read on this board and most of it seems true. I wonder what happened to the OP, last time he posted was 2010

I will take a stab at it Marksteven, After that fiasco and the other normal BS associated with trucking -- Later- Dude climbed out of a truck --to take a normal 9 to 5 gig.
You 10- ? year drivers are a breed in your own and have probably been out numbered massively by 0-2 year guys and girls that will retire in that time span to never be seen again driving OTR. LOL
There's probably only 100 of you 29 year drivers out on the road. Be safe out there.Marksteven and Truckergirl0720 Thank this.
