You're really trying to confuse them now aren't you?

Hope no heads exploded. I believe the blue knob was used to set just the tractor brakes, until it was decided that holding in the red knob when pulling the yellow had the same effect, thereby eliminating the need for the third valve.Last edited: Jan 5, 2014

Don't think the blue knob has been used since the early 80's. I'll have to poke around the old international trans star that my company recently bought for local runs to see if it has all 3.

It's the same as if you take the blue pill in the Matrix.
You get kicked out (of the REAL world) !
Well, actually, you never get in.
Those Californians are so full of themselves. -

Is it really not typical? The only reason the program was shut down was because one of the instructors was a former DMV examiner and our pass rate was 20-30% at best, so the school came to the attention of DMV officials and that prompted an investigation. I read a lot about "diploma mill" schools on here before I went. I also read that recruiters lie, but you don't expect the lies to be as bad as the ones we were told. One of the issues was our training period. It was supposed to be for three weeks, but they cut it down to twelve days and had us testing on the 13th. We didn't have enough trucks or instruction. Students were teaching students, so we weren't learning things correctly. One of the things I was told was that you always start off in third gear, and that a truck has two braking systems. I'm correcting this in my writing now. The thing is, there were students who had already been through the same thing at other schools. And I kept in touch with some of the students who were cut and sent home before the program was shut down and they were still held responsible for the tuition. We were very lucky that things played out as they did and we could walk away from this mess, but it doesn't seem that that happens very often. But bad trucking schools, that is a really big problem.
