I know you want to get down to Florida since your daughter is going to school there. In light of being beat out at a few locations, you may want to consider applying to the DC up there in Tobyhanna, PA where Jim (NYVET) is or Pottsville, PA. There is such a shortage of drivers there that they have been running an ad of the Walmart site almost non-stop the past few months. By the time you would start, winter would be over. Then you could transfer down to Florida a year from now.

Just a thought. You could at least get both feet in the door. :)

thanks tom!! that's my thinking too at this point. im giving it a few more days, then if no calls before next Tuesday then im gonna apply up there. just been waiting to get past winter so I don't have to start up there in the middle of it.

Tom of texas.. I know its lots easier for sure, and yes Dominos was very tough job.. and it was hard to leave.. I was top driver and driver trainer with tons of vacation and it tough to give it up.. oh well only thing I have to watch out for is watching my weight.. still eating the same, and not burning off weight.... never been heavy.. but I always worked and walked lots..I use to wear out the best pair of steel tow shoes in 3 month's!!

"You are not going to lose weight working here!" Those were the words of a lady here in Sealy when I was getting sized for my uniform shirts and pants during orientation. I had said I did want my shirts to be too big because I was planning to lose more weight. :)

I definitely need to stay away from the fast food joints inside most Walmart Supercenters! :)

I moved away from the winters in Boston back in the 90's. If I had to see these chilly temps here in Houston for long, I may transfer to Brooksville myself! LOL! :)
