Help! Do you have a flatbed load securement manual from your current or previous job. If so would you post it. I am constantly looking to learn. I would love to see what people are being taught in order to better myself and make it safer for others around me. Thank you and safe trucking to you all.

If you would like to understand the rules concerning load securement you can download DOTs cargo securement manual. It's on the DOT website.
Ducks Thanks this. -

FMCSA publishes one here:
http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/safety-security/safety-initiatives/cargo/cs-manual.htm
...or PDF version here:
http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/documents/cargo/cargosecurement-16-04.pdf
..or you can google "Driver's Handbook on Cargo Securement" and you'll get enough reading material to last you quite some time.Ducks Thanks this. -
All of you are awesome for contributing. What I was looking for is for example: if i have a 3 tier load of steel beams how many belly securements is recommended and where to be placed. Whether it is better to build a head board or go with a trip chain etc.
-
Another example would be is it better to x chain a shotgun coil or horse shoe it to the side etc
