Thanks for the road report. It's amazing, I have a better chance to get a road report off the blog then I do on the CB. Be safe, see you next time.

Looked like an Abilene convoy on I270 this morning. Thought I saw 3 about a mile apart just south of Frederick around 11:30.

I am sitting here at the Molly Pritchard (or whatever it is called) and what do I see a green Volvo with the ABILENE name on it. I wonder who it is? Maybe I should go over there and see, but if I do go over to see I might wake them up or bother them so I will just sit here and ponder if it someone off of this site. Maybe I should not have told what I saw because they may be hiding and don't want to be found. So if the person is hiding then we have not seen you. Everyone have a safe trip.

The CB is horrible anymore. Nobody really wants to give out road reports (DOT, speed traps, accidents, etc) and it's just as hard to give one out yourself to a driver going in the opposite direction. Whenever I see something (again the DOT, accident, broken down vehicle, etc) I'll get on the radio and tell the passing drivers. About 1 in 20 may give me "thank you". It's getting to the point where I feel as if I'm just wasting my time.

I don't even mess with cb's anymore, it would just stay off 99.9 % of the time.

I guess I'm just too old school, I started driving in 1979 using one and I'll end driving in February of 2016, still using one. The only thing that I NEED it for is for a heads up in bad weather, the rest of the time it's strictly for entertainment purposes only.

Got to my delivery at 7am and was done at 7:30. Got my reload info while getting empty. I need to deadhead 445 miles to Melba Idaho just south of Boise, to load in the morning and deliver in Roanoke Monday morning. Right now we are sitting in troutdale having breakfast.

George just told his wife he won't be home for his anniversary on the 23rd, like any spouse just getting involved with this industry she was not happy. In fact, after he told her I would be home for my birthday and anniversary next month, she really went through the roof. Oh well, blame me, everything winds up being my fault.

I guess I'm old school as well. Mine is on at all times when I'm driving. I'm not a jabber jaw (unless one of our other drivers is close by and going the same direction) but I do like to know what may be a hazard ahead of me.

    JohnBoy Thanks this.
