Double Logs & Weigh Stations in California.

At the moment, no.
However, they are in the process of linking in with Oregon, WA, ID and NV with a system that will.
The system currently is working in OR, WA and ID. All trucks are recorded at all weigh stations either via entry or by the transponder, each time they pass a weigh station. If the math doesn't work out, they're singled into the station for log verification and further scrutiny.
there have been some fairly well publicized 'catches' in the PNW with this system and CA is joining the group thanks to a grant from the feds thru the DOT.
In addition to this system, a new POE is proposed in Needles.

plus if you have an accident a good lawyer will find out by checking your bol...

my advice... if you cant make a living driving legal then get another job....

 

Truckers involved in accidents are tracked with cell phone and fuel data and blame is quickly reversed if you are found to be where you shouldn't.

 

I believe prepass data is erased every 2 hours.

 

He doesnt have prepass.. but you can go online and track back as far as you want... previous company showed me how they did it..

There are so many ways to get caught nowadays...even when you think you got away with it they can go back on you in an audit...

As a new driver you need to learn how to run the right way and log the right way before you even consider trying to run double logs. If an officer suspects you double logging they can easily pull fuel records and other time stamps.

Don't think you are going to get rich running illegal because you won't. Them fines are rather large.

Well if I was a betting man I would bet if they don't have the agreement yet they won't have it by Friday .

If you have to be there by friday just do what it takes and if you get caught take your medicine like a man go on with your life.
