Trucking industry slogan "Hurry up and wait" your gonna have to run like a bat outta hell to get to the shipper and then run like a bat out of hell to the receiver but they want you to wait awhile they don't need you quiet yet.

Well, since you are the one sitting there - you should know what the deal is.
    Shouldn't you?

A few more details would be really nice.

And if you're mad enough now, after less than a month with the company and still in training, to go to McD's...

Maybe it is simply a slow time for freight and you have to wait your turn to get a load.
    It happens.

But really, between you and your mentor, you should have more idea of what is happening than any one of us has.
We are not there, after all.

    Sure, the main problem is...
you're asking us what the problem is... when you give no details of anything, and expect those of us 2000 miles away to figure things out.

I'm willing to bet you will be THAT driver that comes barrelling down the highway in a construction zone, suddenly braking for the traffic backed up,
then you get on the CB and ask... "What's the holdup?".

But seriously, don't you have to go out with a trainer for 6 weeks with Swift?? Man you should ask your mentor what's the hold up, not us!

Heck this isn't even the beginning for the hurry up and wait game for him.Hes going to have to learn to be patient or he'll be applying at McDonalds sooner then he thinks.
