The advantages of living with-in an hours drive of your place of employment are astronomical.

You've probably narrowed your choices down to either Crete or Shaffer. Flip a coin and dive in. Both are OK.

I live about 240 miles from our one and only terminal. It's not really an issue because they rent me a storage space to keep the truck close to my home. Only time I'm not a fan of the distance is when I'm asked to come to the office on a Friday and have to spend the weekend in their town, total population of about 1,000 and nothing to do besides hang out at J since it's the only truck friendly place in town.

I drive well over 100 miles a day but I live in a Republican section of the city and drive to a democrat section. The traffic is much lighter in the Democratic area but the crime is higher

This is a no brainer, More traffic in the republican section because people are going to work, lighter traffic in the Democratic section because nobody works, is on welfare and every other government hand out and have time on there hands to commit crime, Duh.....

If you're OTR does it matter? Not being sarcastic, just wondering. Husband and wife team that are friends of mine live in eastern Ohio and drive for a company in Seattle. They have no problems with it. I guess there will be many different opinions on this. Wouldn't be high on my criteria list.
