Does anyone have a favorite truckers atlas they prefer over other ones. Even though I'll have gps I'd like a good atlas as well.

    Flatbedder73 and HauntedSchizo19 Thank this.

Actually...The 1 I used to just LOVE to death was made by American Map corporation... 'Truckers Atlas'...

It was really easy on the eyes and Big Cities were in better detail than Rand mcnally

GPS is only an AID. Never forget that. You should know every turn and fuel stop before you even start your trip. If you ever NEED your GPS your doing it wrong.

To answer your question Rand Mcnally (laminated only) is the way to go.

Laminated Rand McNally Motor Carriers Atlas, current edition.

And hopefully, you do not have a passenger vehicle GPS you plan on using.....

Oh so everyone is supposed to have every address, highway, exit and intersection committed in the whole country committed to memory? I suppose that works if you are on some kind if cushy dedicated route.

Myself i do have an atlas I use it every day. I use the gps as a supplement for when I get close to shippers and receivers.
