There's a few that stick out for me. Viking freight, motor cargo, Watkins ltl, overnight, consolidated freight. All good companies swallowed up by junk or just put themselves out of business, CF! Honestly, I'd like to see most of them come back. I started driving in 1997 and I used to love looking through the trucking job magazines. There were so many pages of companies and now it's like half as many. Just crazy what has happened to our economy! Looks like yrc might be next.

That aside, I can't really think of companies which went out business since I started driving that I cared much about. I guess I wish Arrow hadn't been mismanaged the way they had.. those drivers who stuck it out really got a bum deal at the end, and I hate that for them. And is IWX still in business? I never knew the first thing about their company - just that I liked the look of their trucks. -
I miss the Bandit. I think they only had the one truck but that Trans Am sure did keep them Smokies running around like chickens without their heads.

Well, two different trucks throughout the trilogy... the W900 and the General. But remember that Snowman could also round up as a big a flotilla of trucks as he needed (as witnessed in the scene where Buford T. Justice called in reinforcements from his relatives in the Louisiana State Police and Royal Canadian Mounted Police).
If that came across as nerdy, so be it. I just happened to have watched those movies when I was younger. Maybe slightly obsessively. Healthily obsessively. And that's what I'm sticking with.RockinChair Thanks this.
