Are there companies that specialize in long haul runs only for drivers that want to stay on the road?. Is there such a thing as a dedicated long haul runs?.

There are companies but you have to find them. Many companies save their long hauls for their team operations. It's a competitive market so speed of service depends a lot.

My experience is you find more solo long hauls in the reefer business. Hauling produce is cross country many times. Hauling meat mainly comes out of the midwest and lanes are rather long. Produce I was running about 2600 miles a trip and meat I would run 900-1200 miles a trip. That's much better than a dry van running 200-600 miles many times.

Long haul you have less dock time and more time to enjoy what you like to do... drive. My best days were always waking up already loaded, get a cup of good coffee and just drive the whole day.

I'm a OTR Flatbedder (all 48 no canada) and i very commonly get runs in excess of 2000 miles. For example i got a run going from Spokane to Philadelphia for about 2400 miles with no drops. Then i reloaded in PA and got back to Chicago. Now i'm on a run from Chicago to drop 1 in Brighton,co to final out in sacramento,ca.

You can have dessert until you have finished your peas and carrots.

We all want to make as much money doing the lease about of work. You can work your way up to that but you won't start off with it. Unless you are very lucky.

    Alright, gang...Trivia Time!

What is the term in baseball for the player that consistently hits the long balls over the wall?

If you want that spot on the team, what must you be able to do on a consistent basis?
