For me, YES, but not simply because I use a smartphone.
The reason it has become easier for me to find places a) is because I see the same customers, both shippers and receivers, on a regular basis and b) because my smartphone is tethered to my laptop. The same thing could be accomplished with a wireless aircard, a device that normally plugs into your computer via USB slot and provides internet access through a carrier such as Sprint, Verizon, etc.
I have never used my Android to actually find a customer. When I use it, the phone is always attached to my computer. I prefer to do it like that because my laptop screen is 15 inches and my Android is 4 inches, not to mention the full-sized keyboard as opposed to the tiny one on the phone. -
I saw a listing on swappa for a like new lg g2 for less than $300. I'm not sure what carrier it was for.
I'd be all over that if I was in the market for a phone. -
Samsung is junk, cheap feel, slow updates, buggy, if your carrier is gsm get a nexus5 or even motoX to best best phones currently followed by LG g2, HTC one, & Samsung s4.

I have a Samsung Note 3 and I love it. But I've noticed that it takes much longer to charge on regular chargers. MOBILSPEC now sells a 12v double USB charger that has a 1 amp output for regular phones, etc.and a 2.1 amp port for charging tablets which works great on the Note.
