I don't know even know if a "389" is a long hood or an anteater family Pete but a Crapanado is suitable for landfills!

I am considering buying a Coronado. Can I ask what it is you don't like about them?

Either truck would be a good truck. It is mainly your personal preference. I never liked Freightliners for little things. I just feel more comfortable in a Pete and prefer the way the Pete drives. And a Pete seems to be a bit more solid, but there are plenty of either truck on the road running dependably.

On truckpaper, there is a 2014 kenworth w900 with c-15 that has Fitzgerald built decal on it. Thompson Truck Center has that truck right now.

Some one once told me that the reason that a Freightliner seems squirrely is that Freightliner has a higher pressure out put on their power steering. Frankly I never gave it a thought when driving.

Individual detailed specs will make all the difference. A FL with great specs will beat out a Pete with lousy ones. And I am talking about chassis specs here. For my FL Columbia glider, I spec'd the premium interior with Arctic insulation package and premium noise abatement insulation package. So far this winter, in the upper midwest where I always run, I have yet to turn on the bunk coolant! The cab heater does an excellent job of heating the cab and the mid roof 70" sleeper all by itself! Even at -20F. I can make out all the instruments in a great jazz song on the premium stereo while rolling down the road. And I have more storage cabinets than I could ever use.

I highly recommend the new Detroit steer axle! I researched and ordered that one, along with Conmet preset plus hubs, and really like the combo. I changed out steer tires at 220,000 miles and they still had 8/32's tread on them with no river wear or any other wear anomaly. Got $100 casing credit and a good deal on new steers, so couldn't pass it by or else I would have run them even longer.

The KW gliders are a little weird. When Paccar announced they were doing gliders, they put out that the wiring would only allow for a pre-07 engine but not a pre-03. So, you are going to have EGR even if you don't have SCR and DPF. Maybe they changed that.

At least there is still a great selection of gliders and combinations to choose from. Each person has their own brand preference just like some like Dodge or Ford or GM. Each truck brand brings a little something special to the party. Just have to find what works best for you.

I heard about their glider release, but at the same time, fitzgerald makes those trucks with detroit 12.7. Other 2014 t800 glider with cat c-12. A fitzgerald built w900 at memphis has 6nz cat on it.

Cool! I am glad they got around the wiring harness limits or got Paccar to change their ways.

Tell me how great it is in 10 years with the dash having 2 inch long deck screws holding in place, or the door falling off....................
