Yes, I called KLLM this morning and let them know about it. The only problem, even though they listened to me, I doubt that they believed me. Coincidence is how they probably look at it. I did not have is truck number. From now on, start to right down the name and number of all trucks next to me. He probably thought it was a Swift company truck and that there would not be a problem. KLLM just went to the top of my $(&( list.

    Sayre, OK - Flying J

Ive been seeing a lot of I-40 lately. Not complaining at all, just stating. Last week t-called a load from Yuma to Albuquerque. Picked up a T-call there and ran it out to Social Circle, GA. Dropped it and picked up a load from McDonough, GA back out to Oklahoma City that I got unloaded this morning.

I asked to stay running through the weekend on my recap hours so they hooked me up with a t-call pickup from the Oklahoma terminal up to Cheney, WA. Nice run. Haven't been in WA since late November although I'm not taking any hometime out there until late February. Hoping the weather holds out until I can get through there and back out.

Hey, a little bit of FYI. I finally found a gym within walking distance of a place to park a truck. If you guys are passing through Yuma (2900 Pacific Ave. location) there is a 24 hour fitness place called "Snap Fitness" in the strip of stores near the Walmart. Park on the front, right side of the lot (right side if you are facing Walmart) near the "Weinerschnitzel" and the gym is right next door. $10 gets you use of the gym, plus tanning (if you ask) and some water massage bed thing (didn't get to use this) and the use of a private shower. Wish there were more of these out there - Fresh food/parking/shower/gym/tanning/massage/24 bathroom access. Easy access to the Walmart lot at the traffic light near the "Big O" Tire Shop. Gym is usually staffed between 8 AM and 7 PM so go then. Kind of a cool place to park.

I didn't realize you were from Tacoma also. I'll probably be bumping into you at some point. I lived on the dreaded east side of Tacoma between McKinley and Portland Ave's. Gaaaaaaa I don't miss that side of town too much.

morton t/s las vegas nv. was only 30 minutes late to the shipper this morning. took less than an hour to load that stop, went to first stop 10 minutes early and was loaded within an hour. the 2nd stop was one block over and had a 1400 appt. call matt(old dl) and asked if i can get there early. he called csr who called the customer and said no, they were too busy. drove over anyways since its only block away and went in and talked to them. lady said give her 5 minute to find the bol, and then gave me a door. 2 hrs early. was going to be way too tight if i had to wait till 1400 and expect to get to tj max in vegas by 1930. anyways,, made it here at 1830 and dropped the trailer and ran over hewre to mortons for the nite. had an hour left on my 14. didnt hit any traffic really untill i hit vegas. the morning traffic on the 5 was the normal trafficwith no accidents so got thru there faster than i thought. everyone in the bad weather be safe

Haha, you have really bad memory. We had brunch in fife before you even started working for swift, and another time when you were In sumner on hometime. Don't worry when I left sumner this morning your motorcycle was still there.

    how did you mount it?

I hooked my radio up, went to stick the antenna and figured out there is no dang metal anywhere on these newer fiberglass pieces of junk, zip tied to a mirror but going certain directions it would lose signal, going to go buy a 3m strong sticky pad and stick that sucker to the roof later today.

Went to Valencia then down to long beach, that 405 was horrible as hell today, left the dc at 1300 and returned at 2100 then took a load to Santa Maria and im parked behind the store for the night. Tonight I run a load up to Riverbank which is perfect since thats a little less than an 8 hour drive and I have a little over 2 hours to get back to the dc

wolfy ... first if you want to get an antenna, you can mount it on the Cascadia. Above the passenger door there are 2 bolts for a blind view mirror. You can mount an antenna on one of those bolts.

That said, my antenna - which is on my passenger mirror of my Prostar - crapped out on me. So I mounted my magnetic antenna on top of it, just using some double sided tape. Been there for over 15 months now, through rain, sleet and snow.

Frankly I get slightly better reception with the magnetic antenna than I did with the after market antenna.

You might want to try double sided tape and put in on the top of your passenger mirror.

Need to renew my CDL so worked my way home for a couple of days.

Wolfy, there is also a metal plate that you can purchase at the Flying J that has a hole on one end. You can unscrew your cb antenna and but that plate right on your cb antenna before you screw it back in and you can also bend end to a 45 degree angle and then use the screw above your door and mount it that way.

Now in Rayce, LA. Knew better than take this load east after the ice storm. There is now about a 25 mile back up getting to the basin bridge. They had it shut down for some time and now it is supposed to be open. GPS is routing me up 49 to 190 and across to Baton Rouge, but that is still 15 miles away and still in the back up. Just wait until morning and see what it is like. It is now at least 58 out here.
