I used to wear the Danner Striker II zipper boot. They wear out pretty quick but are comfortable. I switched to these.

Cheaper and just as comfortable. They have a composite toe, no cold toes in the winter.

John deer has a boot that wears like a tennis shoe. Slip on, leather and you can get it with or without steel toes. They are extremely comfortable. I wear a pair when I am working and another pair at home. I think they are made by dan post but are made for john deer. Had to get a pair just like them for my 7 year old so he would have boots like dad.

This is a great thread! I don't mean to hijack, but thought I'd ask if anyone has any personal preferences when it comes to gloves? You know, which one's do the best for you, etc? Thanks in advance!
-
I used to try and by good gloves but with the, fuel, grease and everything else you do(bungee cords). They all wear out or become too saturated. Now I just buy and use the cheap $2.99 ones and replace them often. I guess if you carried 2 or 3 different pair that you had for different jobs they would last longer. I do carry a box of the black latex gloves for when I use the grease gun or checking the oil.

I use rubber gloves up to my wrist with thin cotton gloves under neath for a lining to stay warm and dry in the winter in good old northern canada!

Thank you! I was wondering if they lasted very long, and I was assuming no. In other words, it doesn't really matter - just have back up gloves for when your original pair go?

Oh yes, that is a great idea; thanks! I hear it's a bear up in Canada!

Ended up getting a chance to go and take a look at boots in person this evening and got the Timberland Boondocks as one of you suggested. Best #### boot that has ever been on my foot so far! Will tell Monday how they fair out!
Touk Thanks this. -
And how much did u pay for it? I'm considering maybe buy one too... -
I like the cheap boots as they wear out before they get dirty.
