I predict by the end of this month, March, all of the O/O's will be united as one and all of our trucks will not be moving in an attempt to remedy this fuel/freight problem. It is already begun, the local and national stations are covering it and it will picking up steam from here.

I really hope this takes off. I have been trucking in Michigan for over 20 years. every driver I talk to is all for it. But I constantly get blown off by all these FAT CAT buisness trucking company owners. I was trying to tell a owner of about 30 trucks in monroe MI. about the shut down and he just brushed it off by saying "It will never happen" then continued to talk about his $600,000 dollar home? guess it's not effecting him....Yet! any suggestions on how to keep this moving?

I have also reported it to both of our local TV station's here in Shreveport, Louisiana but still haven't heard a thing. Next thing I do which will be within the next day or so when I get the chance is call them and demand they listen. It has begun and it will steady go as more and more discover the it is happening. For those who are big company driver's, to hell with the company, your help is just as much important as any so get some balls and stand up to it. If everyone like I said in a major company stand's up then there's no way they can fire anyone. If they did they would go out of business!

i talked to a friend of mine who is a company driver. he was worried about being fired. they have about 20 trucks. I told him if we could get all 20 guys not to come in one day they wouldn' t fire all 20? This industry is gonna wind up paying guys minimum wage for drivers . If we don't take a stand. there will be people driving trucks with no skill no heart and no desire to be there. Imagine that spaced out kid behind the counter at the fast food place that can't even add up your change behind the wheel of a truck:biggrin_25512::biggrin_25521:

    FIRE the DRIVERS?
ROFL, You've Gotta be kidding! AINT no company in a TOTAL HIGHWAY shutdown going to start firing drivers.

If he's SO worried? Tell him to help all us O/O's out and KEEP DRIVEN!

DRIVE 5 - 10 MPH BELOW the posted SPEED " Saving his company FUEL";)

And 2? Well if he's a OTR guy? RUN A LEGAL, Yes I said "LEGAL" LOG BOOK!

He'll STILL be helping us OUT and Still have a J.O.B maybe... If the Pissed off TRUCKERS that DO shut down dont start DAMAGING CRAP again like in the 70's and 80's...

I sure HOPE not.... We need this and need this badly... I pray we just come together more thats all... LOWER our dam fuel, give us a FAIR RATE on shipping and for god sakes BE NICE!!!!!!

Us drivers HATE DEALING with ######## SHIPPERS/RECEIVERS and Company employees. If YOU don't like your JOB? CHANGE JOBS!
We happen to LIKE OUR Jobs! In fact most of us LOVE our JOBS!

THATS WHY we are fighting tooth and NAIL!
    TO KEEP OUR JOBS!

Sorry got a little loud there... over MEAN PEOPLE..lol
    All the best,
    Matt :biggrin_2559:

Agree with drive legal (compliant). Make certain your rig will pass inspection if you want to create a little havoc; make sure your logs are current.

Maybe drive at the minimum posted mph, don't drive at night or weekends, only drive during rush hour and post signs on your trucks. The public will certainly notice you then.

How about a few just flat running out of fuel during rush hour?

I don't know if this is a devious plan or if the public would think we're stupid for running out of fuel:biggrin_25524::biggrin_25523:
