I'm playing on US 30 near Montpelier ID today just a little slick and cold. I waited until daylight to leave as I wanted to check my tractor trailer out closely in the daylight after splitting a group of 5 deer on interstate 15 last night. Not sure how I managed to go through that crowd with them moving and me doing a little zigging and zagging, but I did. Not a mark on the unit.

That's cause they realized how nice that setup is and didn't want to hurt it.
Glad you managed to squeeze through all that though.

Well found out today that it was totaled. Now I have to find another ride. Wife has found a few older pick ups.

If you liked it, Buy it back and fix it up! The cost to fix it at a shop may not have been worth it to the Insurance but it would be to you. Just a suggestion. What make and model was it?

Just a quick note tonight. I'm beat! I got a pre-plan on the way to make my delivery. Isn't that the way it should be all the time? If I could get every pre-plan at least a few hours before I'm empty I would be a happy camper. Made my delivery and headed to Bradenton to pick up some Tropicana going to Ankeny, Iowa for about 1,440 paid miles. My 14 expired on the lot, so I bobtailed to Wally to spend the night.

This will be a fun trip. It's right at 1,400 miles, and delivers Monday at 09:00. My plan is to run out the clock two days in a row, then get up early Monday for my victory parade. Should be a great way to get some miles going in February!

Hoping for a little info from the experienced JCT drivers. I have been thinking about going back OTR and leased with Dart b4, made decent money, so I want to lease again. I like what I read on this thread so I put in my notice at work and am heading to JCT orientation later this month. Just finished my orientation modules online and was wondering if anyone used/uses ATBS and/or CABS. Also, one reason I wanted to go back is my wife of 27 yrs loves to go out. Our kids are out of the house and she only works as needed at the hospital but the modules said 2000.00 cash, check, credit or debit to be paid b4 ride or pet is allowed. That sounds extreme. I understand not everyone is a clean responsible person and if it doesn't work out JCT gets the truck back but wow. Thx for any info and stay safe.

Congratulations on your decision. I'm not a JCT driver, but I enjoy this thread. I think if you will listen to the advice given in this thread, as well as the other thread, you will do just fine.

This is a good question. I don't think I've seen that addressed in this thread before. It may have been, tho. My memory is not as good as it once was, but it's as good once as it ever was.

Man, that is high. Good thing my wife wants nothing to do with trucking, except the paycheck. :)

THX for the vote of confidence. I try to listen and learn all I can to succeed. I love my wife but 2000.00, very steep...
