Just finished my night shift and kicking in the SB. Ran the I-40 from Lake Havasu City, AZ to Albuquerque, NM. Touches of ice here and there around Flagstaff, nothing bad at all, but this time I engaged the differential and made sure I was coasting the bridges.

We are headed to Pittston, PA, so I'll probably be taking over tonight somewhere in mid-Kansas and headed through Missouri and on into Illinois and Indiana. Probably going to be in the teeth of the aftermath of this storm, but it sounds like several storms will be coming through. After our drop in Pittston we pick up 1/2 a load then head to New Jersey before heading on back to LA. I'm just hoping this won't be like last week's run to Miami and Atlanta where we had 40 hours total wait time for the ice to clear on I-10 through Louisiana and Florida.

By the way, during post trip found that we were low on coolant and oil. So I stop at the terminal in Alb, but the shop won't open for another 4 hours. No way we want to sit around that long so I head to the Flying J up the street. After an hour on the phone waiting for On Road (after sending in a request for Company Advance with the amount and purpose on the QC) I finally get permission to make the purchase, have all the codes, PO #'s, etc. etc. and go in to make the purchase and finally find out the amount was never loaded on my Comdata Card. It's incredibly aggravating to burn over an hour playing "Mother, May I?" with On Road for simple things like fluids. This is a major FAIL at Swift.

yeah on road is a total joke for how long they let us sit on the phone, last night the ect at the dc was on hold for over a hour trying to get on road to come out and jump a truck but by the time they finally answered the driver came in and got it started jumping off another truck. He then asked if he could get some kind of direct number since he cant be on hold for a hour to get something done around there, of course the answer was nope have to call and wait.

SLCUT, sitting in the "quick lane" for the last 4 hours. At least the 34° temp is letting the ice buildup melt off the truck. A darn sight better than the -17° I was in this morning.

Taking a 34. Had a JIT PP heading to Seattle, but had to turn it down with 6 hours on my 70 and no more until tomorrow night. At least this is letting me get into the shop to get my A/C, er, defrosters working. :)

Sounds like that Target DC had a lot of deliveries recently, and were short of empties. The DC I an assigned to will do that. They may well be swimming in them tomorrow.
