I agree with you 100%. It seems as if OOIDA is the only entity that has opposed this strong enough to take it to court. Many companies, including the one I work for, have already thrown in the towel and gone to EOBR's.

maybe not but they are the only ones fighting for us. They can't win them all and there is strength in numbers. The more members the better our chances.

BAYOU, Joetro and fuzzeymateo Thank this.

You have your reasons, not my business, but on the flip side who else is even trying to put up a fight?

I see no one including them that has.

The majority of the issues with it is only that companies can see hours available and push drivers. This was available when I drove for a company in 2008 with a qualcomm. Where was OOIDA then?

I got a phone call during the day while in the shower wanting to know why the truck was not moving.

I got woke up by the qualcomm and a phone call at the end of a break wanting to know why it was not moving.

So, you can see, they really have not accomplished a thing.

To this day, I have seen nothing to protect the driver even though we are responsible.

No, this is not why I am not a member. It deals with 1999.

Something is wrong with this guys story. If your driving down the road and your logs take a dump......pull over, and start your back up paper logs. Probably did not do what he was supposed to be doing.

My story is correct and I didn't get a ticket for not being current . It was for no record of duty status so that means no record for 8 days. If I had started the log pulled on the record of 8 days you still get the ticket. If no one is in the office to fax to you and your machine is broke in the truck and Quallcomm says they can't fax am I suppose to make it up? For the record they came back to work 8 am and faxed 8 days by the way this inspection was at midnight . They only work 8 to 5. Mon thru fri.
