I'm based out of SLC and in the western regional so I'm usually west of the Mississippi for the majority of my time out. There really isn't a main area I find myself in nor am I stuck in the high traffic lanes all the time, it's really random.

Charlami Thanks this. -
Seems like the best strategy would be to have one device on ATT and one on Verizon.
-
lol, that seems expensive.

Wow... how did people ever survive without cell phones? It's a wonder.
-
It's not really a matter of not being able to survive without it. I'm more concerned with not having service during down time.. 10 hour breaks, waiting at shippers/receivers, or whatever. Save me from the boredom.
I currently only have 1 phone though. Maybe some day. -
I have one verizon and one AT&T.

Hello bartage, please bear with me as I am new to this computer thing. I recently got my class A and got invited to Orientation. I was wondering how much cash I should bring with me? Do they pay your way home if you dont make the cut? Also, do they have a simulator in Pittston Pa? Thank you
-
Bring as much cash as you feel comfortable carrying, but it's better to have your ATM card and/or plastic with you. You'll need a bank account since it's much more convenient to have your settlement checks sent to a direct deposit than leaving it on the personal side of your fuel card. I don't think you're responsible for any fees the way the CDL students are... if I recall correctly you won't have to pay for your DOT physical.
Prime will pay your way home if you are eliminated for something that is beyond your control. If you are sent home for cause, then you'll have to buy your own bus ticket. It's always a good thing for a driver to have enough to get a bus ticket home, because you never know what will happen on the road. I can't say whether they have a simulator facility in Pittston yet... but I imagine it's something that will happen if it hasn't already. Feel free to post any other questions you have here, and there are plenty of other interesting threads in the Prime folder.tree_killar Thanks this.
