Give it your best guess, as you can never know for certain.

I always try to give a bit less hours available, because they always try to run me right to my limit.
So if I'll have 6 hours available, as a solo, I'll say 4 hours.

I always try to give myself some wiggle room, for having to find an mt or rush hour traffic or doing laundry...

And it expects a time on a 15 minute schedule, so you have to enter the time in 15 minute increments.
    0100, 0115, 0130... etc.

Anything that is in red, you HAVE to fill out.

You know, I never figure that out. Have not put in hours left on PTA for a long time, and it never kicks it back on me. LadyK, it has been some time since I ran team and trying to remember now how we did it. As far as team hours, if I was doing the driving at the time of del, then I would add what I would have left and then another 11 for my co driver and I think that this worked.

Not every terminal only allows 3 days. Jonestown is the only terminal I know of that does that (there may be others).

Not sure how it works for central drivers but if it is the same as us then you can switch home terminals. Your home address has nothing to do with your home terminal that's just where they stick you when you start. Richmond and Greer both allow 4 days home time but richmond requires that you keep your idle percentage at 18 percent or below if you want to take the truck home.

I would suggest changing terminals. Mostly because the Jonestown terminal is in my opinion one of our worst terminals. Just make sure you stay on the good side of your terminal leader (the DM supervisor) because when you try to switch terminals your potential terminal will call your current terminal's terminal leader to make sure you aren't a terd. Btw I think jonestown's terminal leader is still Tammy so if she ever answers the phone when you call be on your best behavior so you can get away from that stink hole.

I may have to look into that , so I guess my home terminal isn't Conley GA anymore then ?
because they never said any different. I wonder if they are gonna try and make me leave the truck at Jonestown terminal. There is no way I can really do that .
my car is in pieces in my garage . Lol
and my wife is not gonna come get me at 11 at night. Haha

    If I would ever have a week where I didn't sit for 3 days idle % wouldn't be a problem either .

Like I said I'm not exactly sure how the home terminals work for central but seeing as you live in pa and Jonestown is the only terminal I know of that only allows 3 days home time it sounds like that's the case. Btw Greer doesn't have an idle requirement as far as I know. There are a lot of terminals to choose from so just call around and ask for the terminal leader saying that you are considering switching terminals and inquire about their home time policy.

If you need a list of terminals and their phone numbers I can post a list

Maybe I will get lucky , lol probably not tho.
all I am gonna be concerned about is the whole taking truck home thing .
cause my car will not be back together any time soon , and when it is . Its still not getting parked at their lot for 3 weeks
I guess maybe if no one says any thing .
Ill just go out 3 weeks , take 3 days off . That = win for everyone . Lol

Sounds like the rules for hometime are another example of the misguided, conflicting and even completely false information that we're getting. I live 85 miles from the closest terminal. My DM said I can't take the truck home anymore. Period. He also said I needed to clean out all my stuff if i was going to be longer than 3 days because that was Swift policy. I've been out for six weeks. I'm taking more than 3 days off.

So my first day of "home time" was spent arranging and waiting on a ride. Seriously, I could care less about new macros or trans flo vs tripak. Ill do it however the company wants it done. But the lack of consistency in communication and not being able to get reliable answers to even basic questions is just asinine. And I know it's not just my DM who is apparently clueless.

    What terminal is that ?

Ill tell ya if I have to rely on a ride because those #### tarts want the trucks left at the terminals , guess who ain't coming back to get it .

Oh nothing is changing , and everyone keeps saying oh its just a couple of macros .
well I guess this time when I go home I may be off the hook cause I have to drop my truck off at freightliner, so I guess we will see.
I basically have another job if I want it , but then I have to pay off the school thing. Witch I really don't want to do.

    #### THEM !!!!!!!

    Aimstraight,
They may be correct in saying 3 days is swift policy, however, I have never seen it in writing and the terminal has their own home time policy. Most terminals allow 4 days.

Like I said, if it works the same as with the swift drivers you can change terminals. Just don't burn any bridges with the terminal leader.

You can live in Michigan and have Phoenix, AZ as your home terminal. So find whichever one best suits you i.e. good home time policy, good DM, the ability to take your truck home.
