    it could be a problem. that is considered altering a government issue document, How do I know? I did the same thing and was called on it. In my situation I was given a free pass but had to get another one.

    Well I'll see what I can do, she said if that's all you have just bring it. I really wouldn't think I'd get sent home over that.

    Probably won't however you should really get a new one because one day it will be a thorn just when you need it

    what about the backing and driving test they give you do they take into account that your a student and your not gonna be perfect ?

    I was in orientation about 7 months ago and got a smoke break just about every hour. Also you'll be making more than $500 a week once on your own easy.

    Remember to keep your shirt tucked in and do what they say. Everything else will be fine.

    Remember these company's hire you because they need drivers. If they sent everyone home that that was not a perfect driver they would have no one drive their rigs. You are coming outta school. They know that and are investing in you that's why they have training period. They know when someone will make it and when they won't.

    this is what my orientation letter says NO T-SHIRTS
    WEAR SHIRTS WITH A COLLAR
    HAIR HAS TO BE SHORT, NEAT & ABOVE THE COLLAR
    NO SANDALS OR FLIP FLOPS
    NO SHORTS OR CUT OFFS
    JEANS WILL BE SUFFICIENT
    NO EARRINGS OR EAR POSTS OR 6-inch Ruler
    Black pens
    Pencils
    Motor Carrier’s road atlas
    Calculator

    Social Security Card (original)
    CDL license – You will be required to show ID
    3 References (name, address & phone #) can not be related
    Name, address & phone # of past employers for past 10 years
    Certificate & grades from driving school
    *Voided check for direct deposit*
    Clothes & eating money for 2 weeks
    Advisable to bring a cooler for ice, motel is limited on microwave and refrigerators. You can get a voucher for breakfast at the front desk of the motel each morning; They will let you know how to cash it in. Breakfast is served starting at 6am.


    Potential McElroy Truck Lines drivers should display a neat,

    clean and positive image. Our company dress code policy is

    as follows:



    No Tee Shirts

    Wear shirts with a collar

    Short neat hair above collar

    No sandals or flip flops

    No shorts or cuts offs

    No earrings or ear posts
