Not sure where to go for training or where to work? I have looked around online and called a number of companies
but not one company i called will take my 2 small dogs! They say only 1 pet on the truck but i have 2 that i love very
much! Does anybody know any trucking companies that will accept my 2 small dogs plus i will be having a female friend
ride with me??? I live in Tupelo, MS but i can go anywhere for training! I wanted to do OTR
to see everywhere but if i have to i can do local so i will be home more with my pets but i have an understanding that
i would need one year's experience for that or maybe 6 months ??? Any help would be appreciated!
Wanting to start somewhere but having a main problem?

You only have 1 dog; don't forget that.
WorldofTransportation, 8thnote, road_runner and 2 others Thank this. -
Yes remember that one dog rule, as said by Chinatown. Now you can call again and go to work. I would try to go more on the flatbed route because there are more options when you want to go local or owner operator. I would also say tank, but you would have someone with you and legally it is not allowed, especially when hauling hazmat. You can use the one dog rule just keep that truck a bit cleaner.
DLKeur Thanks this. -
What they said ^
To quote The Waterboy, "what momma don't know won't hurt her"DLKeur, Chinatown and HauntedSchizo19 Thank this. -
Wow it's really like that! Only thing if i got caught would be afraid when/if i got terminated it would be
hard to find another job! Thanks for the info though, was hoping there was somewhere i didn't call
that would let me legally... Gotta think on this one Lol cause i'm a female and usually do things right
to the Tee... Also thought if i could find a job being a new driver being home weekends, may could get
a babysitter but would hate to leave them 5 days in a row or i could switch them out every week and take
one at a time, sad thing is they wouldn't understand! -
Oh and i forgot to add my dogs are very-well trained and i am a clean person, have OCD when i clean
and i do not smoke so my truck would prob be cleaner than most anyway! I even offered to pay them double
the deposit! -
No one will really catch you because you are going to run solo and people don't really go inside the truck. And if you do, just say its a friends you are looking after or found it and taking it home.

Thank YOU!

I am not tickled to death about some of these veterans advice of just loading up both dogs and trying to keep them on the down low. You being a rookie will not get cut a lot of slack if caught breaking a rule. All I can say is if you proceed with this plan try and stay away from a mega carrier. Sooner or later you are going to have to go into a terminal for the megas for such things as truck service. Now let's be honest, two females getting out of a truck at about any terminal is going to cause every head to turn. Hiding the canines might be tough.
But good luck anyway.DrivingForceBehindYou and girlsdrivetoo Thank this. -
