Suppport Thread for the TND 500, TND 700 or future Rand McNally products.

I have a TND 720. My problem for once isn't the unit, but the docking software. It just flat doesn't work. I have installed, uninstalled so many times, I have lost count. Today after doing it again several times,I checked for compatibility and found WINDOWS telling me the software in not Windows compatible. Strange, it was when I did the updates several months ago, but not now. My system is an HP 64 bit running Windows 7 and IE 9 (having backed away from IE 10). Ideas????

 

What do you mean it won't work? What doesn't exactly work? Won't load, won't connect, won't update the unit, won't install? Have you installed it by right clicking the install program and using the admin privilege? Tried running the dock using admin permissions?

 

Erroneous dirt road warning going to/coming from "Big Charlie's Truck Plaza" in VA Beach (i64 x 282)

 

I get those all the time. I double check the route if ive never been to the place im trying to get to. Once ive been there I just ignore it.

 

I was on AL 22 today , it routed me right through a tiny town ( which is forbidden) instead of using the bypass street .
Could have gotten a ticket , missed the patrol car by about 30 seconds

How do I tell Rand McNally this ?
