Nice town ,all my kids went to Battle Ground high school.
Its all of 18,000 people but it's the big town in our area lol.
If we need something that can't be had out here or we have serious grocery shopping to do that's where we go, there's not much out here.

I get bored taking the same line haul route everyday... If I can get the 1st extra board bid then it will change it up

Yup. The same line-haul route every night gets boring quick. I had the same P&D route for three straight years and it was not nearly as monotonous. Even though it was the same route, you'll still get different stops and freight daily unlike line-haul where you know what minute you'll be at what mile marker.

well on my old p/d route with YRC there were customers I was friendly with so it wasnt too bad if I got to go there. Even in my fedex ground days, it was the same business's everyday but there were tons of girls my age working in the stores so i always had fun. The guy who took over even said they all kept asking for me. That was n both my routes I had done there.

if your on a bid at UPSF you run that bid every night, even if there is extra loads for better runs... I know at CWF if there were extra runs they would give it to the senoir guys who to run and then have the flex guys run the bad runs. If my run is cancelled like it was for the past 3 weeks then I can go on extra board. I will say the changes were NICE. But no my hub has decided to reopen tomorrow, but ive heard they are shutting the hub part down and sending it all to the other terminals, which in my case means a longer run.

At my last job I ran the same routes every week...I got so good at backing at these tight places, so what I would do to break the routine is I would come through a different street or entrance or set up differently. But yea I can see how some May get bored.

you got some nice stuff. I drive a 08 ram 1500 everyday but I also own a 67 firebird and a 57 Chevy pickup. Got a motorcycle, a boat and so e ATVs. I got other toys as well, that's just my big stuff. Because of my young age everyone thinks mommy and daddy give me everything. They cut me off at 14 so I've been working and saving. Not many guys my age have what I have. When my friends and I were all 18-21 they were going out every night being stupid and I was working 2 jobs 6 days a week. Now they can't afford their school loans and have brand new cars worth more than my truck and firebird combined.

Im planning on buying the house from my dad eventually, right now I live in an apartment that's part of the house.

I am regional long haul LTL flat bed and most weeks I get to see the same route and same customers but my loads are always different and interesting. An sometimes like today I get to go to Toronto Canada and sit on my butt for hours waiting to be unloaded lol.

My city p&d has has me based in Calgary, and almost weekly trips to Red Deer, and occasionally Lethbridge or Medicine Hat for day-trips doing deliveries. Just did a med-hat run today! City tomorrow, and Lethbridge on Thursday this week.

Sounds like you've got a good head on your shoulders for a youngster.
Got'ta luv some classics like that, hang on to them!
I had a '55 Chevy two door post,a '67 Impala 2 door fastback and a '69 Camaro that I had stuffed a 427 Vette motor into years back, just a couple of the ones I wish I'd have kept.
I built the Camaro from a basket case at age 22,it was actually a pretty straight car with a 327 sporting a rod through the side of the block when I got it.
Of course it wasn't all that old a car at the time (1977) lol.

I bought my firebird when I was 19. Still redoing it as I seem to always fidn new things to add. The 57 pickup will however be a regular driver. Im looking to put a 1990 vette suspension in it, along with other things. Im going to be making youtube videos of my progress of it. Right now its got a 4 spd auto and a 350 cammed chevy. It MOVES but the steering is a little messed up so thats the first to fix. The firebird is getting a whole new brake system, exhaust, rebuilt 400 or a 455 if I can find one, and replacing the 4 spd with a 5spd. Its not the way I want the car but I dont want it to be reving too high o the highways. Although it will be trailered long distances. The one with the new carmaro is when I first got the car, I knew very little about it, and it BLEW AWAY the car in a little race, even with me messing up my shifting since I wasnt used to a short shift... My friend used to bust my chops saying sell the car and get modern, now if I bring up the race he changes the subject LOL
