I'll have to agree with u on this one.Yes you should trip plan and always account for anything.I give myself like an extra 2 hr window or more.Theres been times I had to be at receiver say 7 am im only 100 miles out but I would leave like 4 am to account for rush he traffic and incase any brk down.
What would u have done!!!!!!!!

Many times I would get fuel at the end of my shift because then it wouldn't bother me so much to have to wait for Mr.Molasses to finish.
truckon and BigRigEvan Thank this. -
If it effs up your "break", that is on YOU!!!!!!!!
God, I hate ignorant, lazy, brain dead truck drivers! (NOT you, Miles, the offending driver.)Raiderfanatic, Shoestring, AfterShock and 8 others Thank this. -

Is it possible that they run all the way up to the 8 hour mark and shut down where ever they are ...tell me they are just that stupid and not just being A.......
Are things like this the standard now? i just dont seem to remember problems at the fuel island ..someone please tell me this isnt a problem at every fuel pump and the internet seems to make it look worse ?Joetro Thanks this. -
I do not see people taking their 30 min breaks as such that I am aware of. However, I do see quite often, people going inside to pay for fuel, go to the rest room, shop & eat while parked in the fuel island.
If your doing more than going to a quickie bathroom break & paying for fuel, you need to pull out of the fuel island. If your going to be inside, longer than it would take the guy behind you to fuel.. you need to park outside of the fuel island.x#1, Raiderfanatic, AfterShock and 1 other person Thank this. -

For clarification, SNI's e-log will not kick you to on-duty or driving unless you move the truck 1 mile. No speed sensor either. I have, in the past, driven from my home to my parking spot to pick up my trailer. A distance of 1.2 miles and driven 60 mph and still sitting on line 4 once I got there.
Absolutely no excuse for sitting on the fuel island taking a 30 minute break. Beyond inconsiderate! Honestly if it had been me, I would have drug him out of the cab and wiped the parking lot with his ###! I can 100% agree with running in to grab a snack and a drink after a trip to the head, but anything else you should move the truck to a parking spot and walk back inside to do whatever you want.AfterShock, Arkansas Frost, x#1 and 2 others Thank this.
