I'm sorry you left out the most important part of the story, WHO REPORTED THE TRAILER STOLEN ? If it was the company I'd quit ASAP!

I need to talk to ownership if they are willing. Middle management turned out to be a bunch of A#@holes.

There is an arrest record..anytime you're arrested, there's a record of it whether charges are filed or not.

I could not disagree with you anymore than I already do. Let's just agree to disagree and leave it at that.

This is why these companies continue to do what they do...drivers have to stand up for what they believe in and stop laying down and taking this abuse

I did not leave it out. The company said it was a disgruntled ex-employee, I do not believe them. If the trailer was in a stolen status when I picked it up, they (the company) is guilty of negligence.

Yeah, that just seems unlikely to me. Megacarriers typically have, what, ~1.5 the number of trailers as power units, they have got to assume a missing trailer is misplaced for a month before reporting it stolen unless that theft included a load or witnesses.

MHP is pretty trucker-friendly, so this seems to be a case with many very odd circumstances.

So cops made it to the scene, expected the wrecker to make it to the scene and tow your rig, which it apparently did... but you lost traction while sitting, and remained stuck despite chaining-up?

That's the rule of thumb; give a rig 2 or so hours to unstick itself. Or was it in fact miraculously towed from its stuckness?

Your report doesn't establish whether the trailer was in fact reported stolen. Maybe you ought to check that out.
