Two things that some may not get.
the first is that the MVR isn't all inclusive with the driving record, meaning that many state's records don't show up yet in another state - that is changing.
the second is that expunging the record doesn't mean that someone can't find it. I had a background check done on an applicant who claimed never to have a ticket. When the investigator's report came back, he had three over 15 tickets that were expunged, two he plead guilty to and paid a heavy fine and the third went in front of a referee. I got the feeling that the expunging of records may be a problem for those in the insurance industry may end up trying to end the practice. -
A mechanic friend of mine has a cdl because he has to drive the big truck when he fixes it. He got caught speeding in his personal car and they would not allow him to do supervision because he had a cdl.

§ 384.226
Prohibition on masking convictions. The State must not mask, defer imposition of judgment, or allow an individual to enter into a diversion program that would prevent a CLP or CDL holder's conviction for any violation, in any type of motor vehicle, of a State or local traffic control law (other than parking, vehicle weight, or vehicle defect violations) from appearing on the CDLIS driver record, whether the driver was convicted for an offense committed in the State where the driver is licensed or another State.[76 FR 26895, May 9, 2011]

More and more companies are getting pickier on who they hire due to their insurance.Im getting calls from companies that I applied to yrs ago.Got a call today.Carriers are looking more at your CSA and mvr then your work history. Both are good on my record. The points on my csa has dropped.Think only like a couple tickets in my life and one was a doozy, reckless but wasn't even driving I was parked and inside mcdonalds at the time.Anyway that was 8 yrs ago.But my work history is real long.Too many drivers have rocks for brains. They are the reason why we have so many laws and getting worse every yr.They come here wanting some kind of pity party.Do companies and the law have pity on them,no they do not so why should we.
