    Huh?

I made $600 this morning. For the week (seven days), $7700 revenue, and after setting aside for repairs, truck, trailer, plates, insurance, etc I'm still going to clear $4400.

Four weeks of February, I profited $9,966 on $20,329 revenue. And I was home 6 days.

    281ric and BAYOU Thank this.

I haul reefer. I was home three days to start the month, out four days, and then was off another three. Then I've been OTR ever since. I've delivered to Ohio, New Jersey, Maine, Florida, Texas, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts, and have picked up in each of those states as well in February).

This week is 3340 actual miles, $7700 revenue. Had an $800 dry load (550mi), $2500 dry load (900mi), $1200 frozen load (540mi), and $3200 fresh load (1350mi). That's including deadhead.

As for quickpay/non-quick pay. Depends on the broker. Two brokers were 2%, so I usually quickpay (one is written in the contract that way, only way to change it is to resign the contract). The others I let sit. Two are 21 days, and 1 is 14 days. I have a $20k line of credit is use to front money for loads. I have $16,000+ out there with my name on it right now). LOC is 4.5% APR, which is cheaper than most quick pays. I never quickpay 3% or higher loads anymore since getting the line of credit.

Sly Fox, your line of credit @ 4.5% APR... Do you have a grace period? Most times, LOC's (or any revolving line including CC's) have a 25 day grace period where if the balance is paid inside 25 days of the start of the billing cycle, you accrue zero interest charges... Just a heads up, if your's doesn't, you could call and ask for one. while not alot of money saved, it is alot considering it only takes one phone call.

your first break down will change your mind real quick, when you have to buy 10 tires or see other related expenses, the reality check will not be pleasant. NO insult intended
