They refused. He told them from the start that he could not and they forced it onto him.

Being professional say's I'll get the rest I need to get in the time allotted. Now the guy who played candy crush all day because he was only going to Morris, IL. Now has to down a Red Mountain dew, a couple bag of skittles and see how long he can stick his hand out the window till he loses feeling. Or am I the only one who does that. We back quiet.

PS. Only was able to get 563 miles today. Only 416 left to pay dirt. After shutting down for those 2 hours they got the roads driveable and It was hammer down city. Dang 14 hr clock made me cut my day shorter, but all's good in Love and War.

It wasn't? That sure read to me like an impeachment of all meat haulers.

I don't. But what difference does that make?

On that I wholeheartedly agree with you.

Alright, lose the attitude pal. Nowhere did I say you didn't know what that's like. I merely said that not everyone can handle the schedule. Apparently this guy in the video couldn't either.

I'm sure the ones that love it and wouldn't have it any other way far outnumber the guy in the video.

Well then , that's a good thing. Neither would I.

And being professional means being ready to do the job you're paid to do, when you're supposed to do it.

I always deliver my meat loads slow and steady and the customers never complain. Oh baby!

I heard you get right in, drop your load and out in just a few minutes. With your meat 36* that's quite an accomplishment! :)

I called them a few times about maybe driving there. They were smarty-pants both times and very short. Needless to say I wouldn't go there.

I'm sorry, but I'm seeing way to many loopholes in this shysters story, if I'm going to unite on something then I want solid ground to stand on.

Hello I am new here and not a trucker at all but would like to inject my opinion into the mix. I have watched this trucker's youtube channel and many times in his videos he has made it a point that he prefers night driving to driving during the day time. I am not a trucker nor will I claim to have any expertise in this area. What I have been before is tired to the point of me microsleeping on my way home from work. While I was driving a 4 wheeler I was lucky in the fact I made it home each day after work. I can't imagine what it running through the mind of a trucker who is pulling 40 tons to realize they are falling asleep. Accidents happen in a matter of milliseconds and once you have killed someone that is something you can't take back. I do understand that freight has to be moved for this world to work and a vast majority of that freight is moved by trucks. My question to you truckers is if you call dispatch and you tell them you are tired and unsafe to drive ( as you know your body chemistry way better than any dispatcher on the phone 300-400 miles away tucked away in the safety of his warm office ) should you as the driver have to argue with the dispatcher as to why you shouldn't continue to drive in this manner.

As far as the recording of the call if you search the wiretapping law for Iowa you will find that Iowa is a one party consent state which means that you as the person making the call don't need the consent of the other party to record them. Since this company is in Iowa and that would be where any criminal charges for wiretapping would be filed. I don't think that him recording this was with any malicious intent other than CYA in which it did CYA as he got the service failure removed. I wouldn't fault anyone for using the power of technology in their advantage and who knows this make wake up some trucking companies up and let them know this is the age of technology and more folks are watching now they they were before.
