The law is there. Dispatch knows the law. BUT...........
Dispatch will do whatever it takes to push the driver to deliver.
That is why they need to put the COERCION into a law to prevent them pushing the driver.

Many cases have been publicized where dispatchers went to jail for allowing driver to drive routinely over his allotted hours. Same goes for forcing a fatigued driver to push on. Surely these dispatchers have heard of this.
Roadmedic Thanks this. -

Im sure you're right but I never hear of that happening.

This has went on since freight was hauled in wagons why do so many act shocked. I don't see the big uproar personally. If I'm tired I sleep, If I know I am gonna have trouble meeting delivery time due to fatigue issues I get it worked out prior to accepting or decline. So the way I see it 2 fools met plan and simple.

Just last week a driver and dispatcher each got 5 years for driving and allowing to continuously exceed driving hours.

He should've never accepted the load based on driver status ....the company could've also re scheduled the window time also according to driver status.....notice how condescending the company is toward the driver ,this is form of minipulation and brainwashing
-
Forced dispatch, no accepting of the load. -
That's how kb is towards all the drivers. When Abe first started this company,he had nothing but good things to say about kb but he wasn't there very long either. Now things have taken a turn for the worse. Also kb would not have changed the window time. But he should have refused and they would have found another driver but again he would have received a service failure no matter what along with an ### chewing.
