Wow these guys took away his service failure. Nobody is saying he should of drove the truck tired. We are saying. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS. Don't record a dispatcher who has seen that you only driven 30 miles in a 24 hour period before your 2 hr or so trek across Michigan and didn't even make it out of the state before this so called mirco sleep event.

To the non truck driver. Drivers are known for making up stories, and getting the guy to do the load that had been on him is probably the 1st priority, but if he is tired and a power nap and walking around the truck won't do. Then trying to find him a relay would be in the plans. But even trying to find a guy a relay who say's he cant drive is hard because other loads need to be delivered. KB does a lot of short haul stuff. So overnight trips are probably the norm. Unless you are calling somebody off home time. Then the guys load who you switch with will need to be delivered. 2 many service failures for a company can get the shipper to cancel the contract. The customers wants the product in the stores. Not in the trucks of people who can't seem to manage their time. Produce doesn't have a very long shelf life. So getting the product to its destination asap is always the best thing.

Any company would have done the same thing and a real company would have this guy dropping his truck off at the yard and telling him not to let the door hit you on the way out. Planning our trips is part of our job. Being prepared is part of our job. Dispatchers are like personal trainers. They will try to push you, but only you know if you can do a few more reps or not. Sometimes you get a boost of energy knowing that you have to get it done, but again some people have no love for what they do, and being late is a part of their game plan.

This is absolutely false. I work for a company that would never do that. I am real sorry that you haven't been able to find one in 14 years of driving. Sure am glad I don't work for a "real" company.

KB must be one of those real companies you adore so much only they're going to wait till he gets back at the real terminal and then probably do some real fireing.KB had no problems finding a swap. That was done within seconds of the conversation.

You poor poor man. Someone doesn't have the same opinion as you so you insult them. That's sad. Surely you can find a hobby or something to occupy your free time. Caring so much about what someone else thinks is just not healthy.

I can vouch for this. Superior will never ask or try and coerce you to run tired or in unsafe conditions.

Yes I'm sure Superior would dispatch you on a load and let you sit for a couple days until you are rested enough to get the job done. Not everybody want's to be a suicide jockey though. :) OH ya I'm not good at math, but I've been driving since I was 21 I'm Now 38. So can somebody help me with the math so I can update my profile ;)
