Enjoying the posts by you IC Choice drivers. I'm in the process of getting things together to go as well. These threads (DFO's and yours and a few others) are great sources of information. Wanted to say thanks.
I actually called Schneider Finance and asked if it would be possible to look at a website with actual trucks that would be available, they responded that they change too quickly and they wouldn't be able to do that. The lady was pretty curt. I was just over at McMinnville, Oregon and saw a leased Schneider truck at the hotel by the Lowes, a black Cascadia with a Wabash trailer. Nice looking truck.
Not trying to hijack the thread, but I've been wondering how much those Cascadias weigh with fuel, and how they compare to say, a 2010 Columbia or Century with a Series 60, or even a Prostar with a Cummins in it. I saw a few with 18 speeds in the truck paper (Prostars) but my old boss told me the maintenance warranty's wouldn't cover an 18 speed, and I've been told by former employers that the 18 speeds we had in our chip trucks were quite a bit heavier than 13 or 10 Anyway, thanks for the updates you guys, enjoying the posts, Subscribed days ago. Keep it up! truck.jpg

I usually sort revenue per mile (including deadhead) and then go from there.

If you go to Denver, make sure you book something before you get there. Try to find an area you like to run and stick with that. I like to be 500 mi from the house, just in case I need to get home. You don't have to run all over the country to make money.

Solid plan. Which I did. But then my truck broke down and I had to have the load pulled. Stuff happens....

If you are unfamiliar with that shipper call your DBL and ask if they are reliable or the kind of customer that cancels loads. This can save you money and headaches. Most our DBLs are very familiar with our customer base.

Glad it's going as well as you want it to! Hope you get by to see the kids, too.

    Drive safe!
