LOL... Well we will be in the white Cascadia pulling a Central trailer... I'm sure we will be easy to spot, white being such a rare color.
I think you two are lying, I've NEVER seen I white Cascadia. I've seen every truck there is to see ever, been truckin' for 25 years.
My next load came through a few hrs ago , and it is definitely a dedicated load .... oh well I will take it , until they pump out about another 500 trainee s to take them off our hands . Lol
Ok... Dropped/Hooked and on our way over... Heading for the fuel isle... Need to refill tea/coffee...
So, the Salt Lake Central terminal has been a nice experience. I was pounded into wakefulness this morning, earlier than I expected because I thought another truck was ahead of me, by the Cummin's guy to fix my truck. He had it finished exactly when he said it would be done. And after a couple hundred miles with hills, I think it is finally fixed correctly. (Thanks Swift Denver... for nothing!) And I was able to get a shower in a real shower room (as nice as any truck stop), scan in my loads, get a good cup of coffee, talk to some nice people and give advice about Swift to one or two, and find my mt for this current load. I think Swift should get some pointers from Central, before trying to impose their own way. It's a 2-way street, but some things Central seem to be better.
Didnt know this thread existed. I have to agree, Swift would be wise to take some policies/advice from central, but that probably wont happen. So far I havent seen much problems with the transition, but thats most likely because I am local, and hourly. But for me, its just getting past the dang trailer location errors, but there is nothing I can do about that, all up to the previous drivers. picked up an mt today, and had a trailer is not available message come accross, give night in phoenix a call, and they said it had gone thru 2 drivers without getting proper calls done. Crazy, sounds like some DMs arent doing their jobs and correcting stuff when it happens. But im not in the office, so i shouldnt judge. If I was OTR, I might be asking swift to just get a swift DM, seems like that might be easier then dealing with DMs who are worried about getting canned. The job still has to be done.
You didn't mention the food truck. I hope they haven't run her off. There used to be a Mexican lady and her son that parked by building 2 every night. She makes a very good carne asada fajita, cooked to order.
Actually from my perspective, I rarely see white Central trucks. A lot of red and grey\silver ones. When I upgraded I actually wanted a white truck. Figured it would help with the heat of the summer. My luck being what it is, I was given a BLACK truck! lol
