Since 2006. No service failures due to sleepiness.

Nope, but good try. It's not federal at all, as it's regulated by the states. And a federal court order has nothing to do with the police.

    Missouri's wiretapping law is a
"one-party consent" law. Missouri makes it a crime to intercept or record any "wire, oral, or electronic communication" unless one party to the conversation consents. See Mo. Rev. Stat. § 542.402.2 . Therefore, if you operate in Missouri, you may record a conversation or phone call if you are a party to the conversation or you get prior consent from one party to the conversation, unless you are doing so to commit a criminal or tortious act.

I'd love to know where some of y'all come up with this stuff.

I've never had a service failure it's part of trucking for drivers who don't know what their capable of. The problem with this industry and any industry is there is no accountability. When something goes wrong it's easier to point the finger than to take personal responsibility.

Abe and his situation are not special , until we went on E logs the dispatchers where I work were totally out of control .

The drivers were being pushed by a small group of strung out coke heads ( and I'm not talking soda pop either) !

Now that we are on E logs there are still 2 dispatchers that behave like the ones in the video .

Soon as the coercion law is passed they too will fall silent .

Its not like he makes it a habit and kb did remove that service failure. In this industry many times you cannot predict whats going to happen hrs after accepting a load.Abe gave it his all and was smart to stop rather then keep driving and getting even more tired. He about fell asleep while driving. No load, no company, no customer, no one at any trucking company is worth driving when you are tired and doing other unsafe actions.Heck with that, they can kiss my back side.

I didn't say he made it a habit, just that he needs to see what is causing it. Was he spending time editing and posting videos? I don't know. But he was on a load that was legal to pull off, and he wasn't able to complete it. If it were me I'd be trying to figure out what I need to do to make sure it doesn't happen again without the company just pushing me out if I have to wait longer than 6 hours for my next load.

Now I'm not saying that is what they're going to do, but I could see where it might an easier solution than trusting him with a load after a long time waiting to get loaded, or even to get a load.

I have never had real trouble with kb but other local drivers have. Some of the drivers didn't have the hrs to do a third round due to either the weather or brkdowns but dispatch still argued with them to do another round. They have me too but I won't kiss ###,I either will or wont take loads depending on the situation and dispatch cant talk me out of it.When I say real trouble, safety has called me in over something Tyson whined about. But otherwise I personally haven't had the trouble like many others have had with kb.But that's just me.Just because I haven't had any major issues does not mean I don't have compassion for other drivers there.

Blah, blah, blah. Enough with the "nothing is worth a life" BS. Is that the only argument you guys have? We put that arguement to bed 40 pages ago. Give it up already. He could have predicted he was going to need sleep. He didn't sleep. He failed. He will fail again unless he puts sleep ahead of the internet. I get so tired of helpless victims.
