Mid Florida Tech Orlando feb-apr class 2014

I like to congratulate all the students(albert, dave, ed, jed, leandro)in our CDL A commercial driving class who made thru all the tests especially tom and nylson, you guys never gave up lol. Hopefully by today we all get our cdl A license with our dream endorsments so we can convoy thru the whole state of florida and get our miles. Ted and darren are two of the best instructors in the industry.

 

its two phases. phase 1 is about a month where you learn all the basics then get your license. phase 2 is another month where you drive on the city roads and highways for a 1k miles them get the certificate.

 

the intructors alternate on teaching every class. i dont think you can choose. it depends on who is available to teach the class. overall the MFT has good quality instructors and equipment. that why they only take a max of 10 students per class so their plenty one-on-one time. the trucks are new because its county money which means its govt spending ala taxpayer's $$.

 

hmm...according to their website, they want @ least 18mos OTR exp in all 4 seasons not more than 6mos ago. if thats the case, their are still a few tanker cos that take recent CDL grads with no exp. namely...CTL, Trimac, TWT, Schneider Bulk, etc...just don't give up!
By the way, Derren is strict when it comes to teaching but you will learn alot. just dont get butthurt if he says something neg about your performance. its just his way and style of teaching. hopefully he is still paired up with Ted. they dont cut corners and spend extra time for students to learn.
