I know your kidding about the beer. I was keeping some fruits and veggies under bunk when the weather is cold. Works pretty good as a fridge.

The Coleman cooler does a very good job, and it runs off a 12V socket.

So I've been talking to the guys in Pasco about joining their fleet and it's looking pretty good. They'll give me a hotel room for a while, while I look for a place. I'm really excited. I've been thinking about joining them since I heard about it during school.

I don't know if this is suppose to be confidential but I wasn't told I couldn't tell anyone so... I got pulled in for a DOT random. I'm not sure if they're targeting us due to the merge or if I was just unlucky. No matter anyway, I'm as straight edge as they get.

My miles have been perking up but I think I'm on a safety hold or something. I'm stuck at a terminal until I watch some stupid videos I was never even told I had to see.

I've been out several weeks and I really want to go home. I need some actual days off, some real home cooked food, and my own bed. Being out this long serves me no benefit other than money, since I'm not totally in this for the money... you can see how this is grating on my nerves.

TangerineGT I'm really glad things are improving for you!

Swift seems real big on having drivers watch videos. If they had to pay you to watch them, I bet that would slow down a lot. They don't seem to mind wasting drivers time with trivial BS. That's part of why I left.
Good luck on the Pasco. A couple guys I went thru training with signed up for that right out of school.

Thanks, Clayshot. Do you still talk to any of those lads? How do they like it?

Well it seems I'm free. I got a nice 1300 miler BUT IN THE WRONG #### DIRECTION. It's got 3 additional stops I'll be getting paid for though... so there's that. Like I said, not in it totally for the pay but it sure does make it all easier to swallow lol.

I don't know whether to be happy or upset. I'm sitting between the two. I sent my DM a message asking "Who does a company driver have to pay in planning in order to get routed home?". I sent them a home request on the 26th of Feburary asking for the 5th of March. I knew I wouldn't get there on the 5th, but it's the 14th and this load doesn't end until the 18th.

    He hasn't replied lol.

The problem is that you are still accepting loads going the other way.
Turn them down with the reason - "Home Time!!!'

And always make the home time request at least 12 days in advance. It gives the planners enough notice to work it in.

If you let them walk on you, they will.

The only one closing is Fontana. Mira Loma and Lathrop are staying along with down South.

I'm a company driver. I can't turn down loads or else I would.

You know, I shouldn't have to be an ####### just to get them to route me home. I'm really patient, believe it or not. I don't mind waiting a few extra days, but I start to lose my temper when I feel like I'm being ###### with and there's no effort being put forth on their part.

I'm glad I'll only have to deal with this #### a few more days. The minute they get me home I'm not going back out OTR. This load is already giving me problems and I don't even have it in my possession yet and now I'm dealing with the numbskull on weekend dispatch who can't even get me a #### phone number. I'm so sick of these guys, why is it so hard to get people to do their ####### jobs?
