please check it out. My ptin ID was carried over from last year and I had to pay my company a nominal fee ($10) for the extended testing they require, otherwise it would've cost me nothing had I gone with, say, H&R Block.

It's worth mentioning your link brings no valid or mentionable results that have any direct results with the actual IRS on my end. I update my PTIN through direct dealings with the IRS. No middle man.

I see only correspondence with the IRS this last year was for the EFIN pain in the rear required by the software company for the efiled returns. It appears I have been "charging" for the cost of the fee to the clients. I save all of the emails. The link I gave is from the heading on the IRS email they sent me.

Now, I wonder about 2012. I think I remember the renewal for the ea was in 2013. I will have to look into it.

WOW is all I can say here..

I run a home office. Plus, run an LLC doing GPS work. I keep track of everything on spreadsheets while trying to copy anything that I need over to PDF. I then take the summary spreadsheet(s) along with a SD card with all supporting documentation on it to them.

I have used them a few years and they prefer this, since they know I have the original receipts.
