Used to tint my company rides. These days the attention is unwanted. My windows are clear. Set the seat all the way back if you don't want to be seen. Get some sunglasses if you need some tint.

Just buy the 70% percent tint, it is practically as clear as Saran Wrap.

I tinted my windshield with this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/BLACK-BOX-A...Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item53eeb10238

    Side windows: http://www.ebay.com/itm/BLACK-BOX-A...Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item53ed11b4fa

Be careful on cheap tint. The reasons I got tint, to block out heat, but most importantly to block out the dangerous UV rays that can cause skin cancer and other eye issues when older. With the windows up, you can't tell there is any tint at all on the windows.

Try Polarized sunglasses yet? They cut through a lot of the brightness and on overcast days, cut a lot of the haze out.

Yes I have. Most lenses even polarized don't work for me. I need a dark lense. I wear Oakley's fire iridium lenses. I would like to change but can't find anything else that works for me. Beleive me I have looked. And yes they do help alot with overcast.

My wife used to think I had lost my mind when I would be pointing out fish in the pond. Finally handed her my glasses. Lol

is tint sold on a darkness level? or a transmittance level??

cuz when you all say 70 % tint. i think of darkness. only allowing 30 percent light transmittance.

windows come with 25 %. and most of you all are telling everyone to buy 70 %. on top of the 25 % they already have.

70 % percent of the light has to be allowed through the window. that means your windows can't be darker then 30 %. and they already come with 25 %.

that's 75% light being transmitted through the window.

you only have 5% to add.

Its 70% VLT. As far as adding 5%, really? This tint is really, really clear. The lower the number the darker it is.

I used limo tint but only put 4.5" down from top, cross front windshield and side windows. I read where about anything was allowed in top 5" like gps, camera and such.

This way, at night, just set my seat little higher and even the mirror headlights are in the tint.

From outside, it looks more like sunvisor shadow.

Never been hasseled or ticket in several years.

That's something I learned the last windshield I bought. If you look carefully new windshields have little "L" markers on all 4 corners. I asked the installer what they were for and he said they were your limit lines for tint. It had a name but I forgot. I haven't paid attention to other vehicles but you might find them on yours. As far as the regulations you can't have anything lower than 6" from the top and 4.5" from the bottom. I think that's where them markers are at.

the tint may be really really clear. but it measures 25 already.

it might be 22. been a long time since i used the meter.

either way. it still tinted and it does measure a number. doesn't give much room to max out that 30 %.

i don't think anyone sells tint that light to add on to your window before exceeding that 30 %. and 70 % VLT.

Yes, they do sell tint that is 70%. You're making things sound impossible. The tint applied is 70% VLT, are you saying this happens on the windows or the windshield? I've seen tint meters in action on side windows, if what you were saying was true, the 20% tint I have installed wouldn't be reading 22% on a tint meter.
