I saw that but, I can't sit in Hotlanta all day tomorrow. Since I am on the first week, and I did not get started until Thursday I need the revenue. Plus I found a load out that is not paper. Loaded miles 1100 @ 1.74 a mile. I can handle that.

I left Jasper, Al around 1400 EDT today and made my delivery in McDonough, Ga right as the customer opened up. Quick in and quick out with an empty. Made my pick up in Albany and just shut down 4 miles from the Mississippi state line with 1 minute left on my 11, 680ish miles today. About 150 to my delivery tomorrow and 40 more to pick up my next load headed to Maryland. Turned in a good week for 4 days, around 2700 gross. Sad to say that this will be my best paycheck since I last got a quarterly bonus more than 2 years ago...

The load to Maryland is paying 1980, so I will be off to a good start for payroll next week. The truck is running great, only issue I have found is my built in fridge is not working. Will have to try and figure it out once I get home. Not much on the web about it. No owners manuals or technical documents. Might have to email the company and ask for the manuals. The fridge is a indel B, if anyone has experience with troubleshooting them, I would love to hear from you. Until next time...

    Stay Tuned.

I forgot to mention my DFO moment for today...While hooking up my load in Albany, I was checking the coupling and managed to split my head wide open with the landing gear assembly. Gotta remember to duck down lower before sticking my head under there. Ruined a good shirt and my ball cap. Had blood running down into my eye and mouth. Good thing I carry a well stocked first aide kit, but I used all the gauze I had in it so i need to stop somewhere and pick up some more. Typical me, I can't do anything around a vehicle without bleeding...

Oh man that had to hurt. Reminds me of when back when I was working on trucks, me and another mechanic got "volunteered" by the boss to downsize a massive Caterpillar loader at the shipping company next door to us so they could fit it and the different parts in a shipping container. We were using a forklift to remove the planetary drives off the axles so it would be skinny enough to fit, and after removing one of them the other mechanic left the forks up on the forklift parked next to the van... he was old and burned out and constantly did stuff like this. He was up on top removing something so we could lift the cab off and I was down working on something else and he asked me to throw him a tool from the van. As I was walking by, the forks were just at eye level and due to how straight they were they were pretty much invisible unless you were paying attention. The end of those forks was sharp as heck from the bevel of years of grinding against a flat surface. I walked straight into the forks and cut the living **** out of my head. I didn't even feel anything at first, then it hit me and I put my hand up there and when I pulled it away the entire thing was covered in blood and felt all the blood start dripping down my face. I know your pain CW, LOL. That is a good idea on the first aid kit, that's something that I haven't thought of carrying. Do you have any recommendations of a good kit, maybe one that I can order online and pick up next time I'm at home? I know a lot of them are just cheapy and don't contain much that is really useful, compared to a decent kit, but I wouldn't really know the difference.

DFO i have one of the worthless ones at the moment. You can check a company called Galls they sell supplies for pubic service professionals. They have some really nice kits, but they also have a nice price tag. You honestly would come out cheaper just making your own kit with things to handle minor cuts and burns. I don't think a full blown EMT trama bag is necessary the injuries we get out here.

I didn't bother buying a pre-made kit, I just have a bag I picked up at Walgreens that I packed with stuff like neosporin, bandaids, gauze, tape, some cleaning wipes (I forget exactly what, right now), I always have a knife or two in the truck so I didn't worry about scissors, my sinus and headache stuff, lubricating gel for eyes (mine get REALLY dry) and visine. Might be some other stuff, but I think that is about all. Oh, and Tiger Balm patches. Those things are AMAZING for those mornings I wake up and realize I slept wrong.
